Hi,
I'm thinking to get in to performance testing team and trying to figure out how many tools are there for testing the performance of batch processes run in mainframe. Please let me know the monitoring options available in mainframe. Do I have to do additional coding in JCL to monitor the resources or analysis from tools available would be enough?
Thanks for your kind direction.
What Monitoring Tools are there for Mainframe batch testing.

I could be pretty late to reply:
If you are asking something within MF : Omegamon could do something what you are asking for and not Omegamon is a monitoring tool
There are tools used for finding the efficiency : Load runner is one of a kind

Re: What Monitoring Tools are there for Mainframe batch test
There are a variety of tools for monitoring -- MAINVIEW and OMEGAMON for example. There are also a variety of tools for performance measurement and batch testing, including STROBE, XPEDITER, and DEBUG TOOL. Generally, the tools available at any given site don't change often since mainframe tools can easily exceed 100,000 US dollars to purchase, and 15,000 to 20,000 US dollars per year for maintenance. All these tools generally work without code changes to the applications.
