"RoR" in CICS?

Post by LearnMainframe »

HI,

Is there something called as "RoR" in CICS? I could not find a reference about it in the google though one of the client, who is not directly connected to us, has used this in his conversation. I know, AoR, ToR and DoR but not RoR. If someone has some insight about it, please let me know.

You need to find out how the client is using the term. AFAIK, DB2 does not support function shipping of SQL requests and hence having an RoR doesn't make sense.

Thanks Robert. You mentioned about DB2, so if DB2 is not there RoR is not required, is it?

Can you please direct me to a link where I can study about RoR more? Unfortunately I could not find a good document on it.

Did you not see where I specifically said that RoR would be a term in use ONLY by your client -- because there is no such thing as RoR in MRO? You won't find much documentation on a non-existent function, will you?

The only context in which RoR would make sense would be with DB2, so if it existed it would need to be related to DB2.

Again, TALK TO YOUR CLIENT -- don't post questions on forums, don't attempt to do your own research, don't bother reading IBM manuals -- TALK TO YOUR CLIENT.
