Hi,

I have started learning SORT. It looks like a very powerful tool. How can I get more polished in it. Please share your thoughts.

I suggest starting by downloading and reading Smart DFSORT Tricks from https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/smart-dfsort-tricks as that has a lot of good ideas.

In addition to what Robert has said - start participating in the Sort forums IBM DFSort, ICETOOL, ICEMAN, ICEGENER and SyncSort, SyncTool, SyncGener - that will make you understand the SORT situations other are working on. That should help further, I believe. Good Luck!
