Google's new April Fools' Day gag asks you to share Chrome selfies in reaction to the websites you visit
Google’s April Fools jokes are far superior than most others in tech and its latest is no exception. After turning Google Maps into a PAC-MAN ground, Google now wants you to share your reactions to the websites you visit on its mobile Chrome browser through a selfie.
A new button that’s appeared in Chrome mobile today for users in timezones where it’s already April 1 allows you to take a selfie as a reaction to any site.

Clicking the bar at the bottom or in the Chrome menu offers the selfie mode which splits the screen with your camera and takes a screenshot.
From there, you’re able to share your reaction to the social network of your choice with the hashtag #ChromeSelfie. People love selfies.
A prank or not, ChromeSelfie has the potential to go viral on the Fools' Day. My suggestion- just be mindful of the websites you visit today.
