DBCTL in IMS.

Post by KavalJeet »

Hi,

What is the use of DBCTL in IMS DB?

Does DBCTL defines the database? We have 3 DBCTL in production but in previous it was only one. What is the benefit of having more than one of them? I read about it but don't understand it. Can someone please guide?

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort 8-)
