Hello,

Should we add some quizzes on the Board on Mainframe Technologies? Would you like see such a feature here, on this board?

We're thinking the quiz system should allow to answer some questions and at end of it'll show the user's answers and the correct answer.

This is a nice idea - but will it be like an on-line question/answer system or you'll just post the questions and answers later? If later is what you plan to do, I believe that won't be very appealing.

Thanks for the feedback. Ideas gets priorities based upon the votes they get. Support the idea by voting for it and the one gets more votes, we'll try to implement that first.

How many more votes be need for it to go. This sounds like a great idea to me.

30 Votes, at least, we need to start working on some idea. That gives an indication that enough audience like to see the idea implemented and we can start working on it.

Yes we did but then I had to hold it in between because of work and travel. I'll work on it to get a prototype going soon.

I've added a beta-version of the "Quiz" on this board, the link is accessible using "Quiz" link adjacent to FAQ (on the of Index Page) as shown in the picture:
Please Note:

• There is only one quiz, named "COBOL - Quiz 1" available at the moment.
• At this moment only Admins can add the quizzes.
• Only Registered Users (> 10 posts) can attempt the Quiz. Board-Committee-Members, Moderators, Global Moderators are registered members, by default.

Also - as this is a beta-version, you might face some problems in attempting the quizzes and if you do, please report them here. I'll try to solve them.

For an easy refernce this is the link using which one can access the Quiz page: http://www.zmainframes.com/quiz.php

"Quiz Statistics" tells about the statistics of a given quiz and questions - it shows, basically, how the users performed for the questions for a given quiz. It does not show the user names at the moment (and I think it should NOT tell this in public!).

There are some quizzes with name "JCL Quiz I" under category JCL which are not functioning - please ignore them for the time being. I'll remove them shortly.

If a new quiz is added - how do we come to know about it?

You click on the "Quiz" link and see !

I understand what you mean, however, there is no "notification" available for quizzes as of now. On the other hand, I can create a thread which I'll update whenever I add a new Quiz, will that be helpful?
