Hi,
What does it mean to call a queue as a remote queue in CICS? I mean why it needs to be called a 'remote' queue when it gets the data from the CICS region itself. Could some one please guide.
Remote queue.

Re: Remote queue.
It is not clear what you mean by "remote queue" -- are you talking about MQ Series queues, or Transient Data queues in CICS or Temporary Storage queues in CICS? For the latter two, CICS support MRO (multiregion operation) whereby one CICS region can execute programs in an entirely different CICS region -- and in such an environment, a remote queue would be the TD or TS queue in the executing region, which would not be the region the terminal is associated with.
