DevOps and mainframe modrization.

Hi,

What is the difference between DevOps and mainframe moderization?

I will tell you my dilemma: If a company wants to modernise their mainframe then they usually try to convert programs to JAVA equivalent or wants to change to some other infrastructure, may be Cloud.

But with so many DevOps tools from IBM and other mainframe service providers, is there any difference left between going DevOps way and migrating away from mainframes?

Are they not just two different things? Why do you want to compare them?
