One of our Job was executing for long in production. It was told that the program executing in the job is gone is loop. Later the support identified that the a COBOL table in program was overflowed and that is why the job went in loop. Should not the job be abended if the table was overflowed? And w...

Re: Taking backup of Gmail account.
Thanks. It seems like that gmail itself does not allow you to make the back-up of it. Nor does it allow bulk-forward of emails.
Anyways, thanks for the link.

Taking backup of Gmail account.
It's a mainframe centric group but thought to ask. Does someone know how to take backup of a gmail account or bulk-forward the messages to other ID?

10836 the attachment was deleted, no reason to waste space on the forum server , How much space would it take anyways? There are many heavy sites we have on the internet now. May be I am wrong but want to know. Because in my office the ftp from many sites is blocked, from IBM also. But if the docum...

Re: Data masking Techniques in Mainframe.
It is an old topic of mine and the requirement was partially dropped that time. But we made use of Optim tool. And couple of online references helped me. Two of them which I saved are here for reference: http://www.ibmbigdatahub.com/blog/implement-data-masking-protect-sensitive-data-part-1 http://ww...

Re: DISP for PDS and PS.

When you specify DISP=MOD or DISP=NEW for a partitioned data set (PDS) or partitioned data set extended (PDSE), and you also specify a member name in the DSNAME parameter, the member name must not already ...
