In this third and final article in our series that explores cognitive
computing and the role that Watson plays in it, we use the IBM Watson Tradeoff
Analytics Service to set up an example fitness application. We selected this
service because it helps users make decisions based on multiple criteria and
then explores the trade-offs between various options. In our sample
application, we strike a balance between a user's endurance training, strength
training, and weight loss. We also get recommendations based on both exercise
and diet data by using the IBM Watson Tradeoff Analytics Service to visually
show these recommendations.
