I flew from Atlanta to Columbus, Ohio Monday. My return flight Tuesday was cancelled and it took 6 1/2 hours for Delta to call me back with my revised flight. My revised flight was cancelled as well and it took Delta 11 hours to call me back Tuesday night / Wednesday morning. I did make it to Atlanta Wednesday night but stayed in a hotel near the airport since the roads were not passable. I finally got home about 11 AM Thursday.

Sorry I could not reply here as we talked offline. How the things are there now? Do you think trains are better alternative in such situations?

The US has pretty much dismantled its train system. To get to Atlanta, for example, you have one train a day from Washington DC and one train a day from New Orleans.

I see - one train a day -- not a very good WLM Policy, I think ! :)
