I am Sven from Hanover, Germany. Now aged 50, I've been working on mainframes for all my professional career.
Most of the time as a system programmer (of my old love CICS but also MQ and IMS). Nowerdays, due to a lack of these options (at least here in Germany) I changed to administrating of endevor and other programmer supporting tools.
Every now and then I come across a task where programming is involved (at last!) and this is how I learned of ibm-mainframes.com. I found an exellent example by Robert Sample (Cobol, read of PDS Directory & dynalloc). Thanks, Robert!!
I am often dealing with REXX, sometimes with Assembler. And I am glad to join this community!
Cheers,
Sven

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
