Hi,
My younger brother undergoing training in mainframe at TCS. Does he have a good future? What is the future scope of Mainframe? I have heard it's dying and there are no good options in India for it?
How's the market for it outside India?
What is the future scope of Mainframe ecosystem?

Re: What is the future scope of Mainframe ecosystem?
Companies that use mainframes (and there are plenty of them still) are surveyed regularly, and the latest surveys indicate that they expect to be using mainframes until 2035 and beyond. The platform is expected to be around for a long time. As baby boomers retire in upcoming years, there should be plenty of opportunities for programmers and support personnel in mainframes. How's the market for it outside India?
