Tools to generate Job flows in visio using mainframe CTLM-sc
Tools to generate Job flows in visio using mainframe CTLM-sc
The subject I wanted to post is: Tools to generate Job flows in visio using mainframe CTLM-schedules.
Hi,
As part of mainframe transformation in our project, we have our jobs running in Control-M tool. We have generated job flows using ctlm tool in mainframe but those flows are not user friendly and difficult to understand.
Are there any tools where the Job flows can be created either in visio (or any other tool) if we give the I/P's as schedule members or is there any best way to export schedule details from Control-M & turn them into a nice flowchart for carrying out analysis on the Jobs?

This is a question that should be posed to the vendor. Your company is paying for support, so why not use it? For you to get help on this (or any) forum, you have to be lucky enough for a responder on that forum to have both Control-M and a job flow software installed on their site, and who is familiar enough with the products to answer your question(s). Your odds of getting help are VASTLY greater when you go to the vendor (who should know what products will run with their software; you are not likely to be the first person to ask them about this).

Thanks. I'm working from offshore location and the channel to get that kind of information is way to long. I've already initiated that request, hope I'll hear back from them soon. In the mean while I have posted on the Forum to get help.
Thanks for your reply.

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
