This is a great Forum for DevOps and some of the threads are interesting. But do we need to really go in the direction of DevOps of mainframes and where are the programs to learn it our own from IBM or other companies?

Part of your question is pretty open ended, though I'll try to answer. By adopting DevOps practices, mainframe operations can become more agile, reduce deployment times, and improve reliability, making the platform more attractive to newer talent and bridging the skills gap.
To learn DevOps for mainframes, IBM offers several resources, such as the IBM Z Xplore Learning Platform and the "Master the Mainframe" program. Additionally, platforms like Coursera, edX, Pluralsight, and Udemy offer courses that cover both mainframe technologies and DevOps practices - though I've not seen specific programs solely for Mainframe DevOps, however, that gives the start.
